## Edit a plan

Open **Plans & features**, find a plan and choose **Edit plan**. You can change its name, description, device limit, lifetime activation allowance, duration, trial, shared seats, seat timing, usage-credit requirement and features.

Product identity, IDs, slug, price and currency stay fixed. Store prices belong to the store offer; editing access never changes orders, invoices, payment schedules or credit balances.

### Choose who receives the change

**New licenses only** is the default. Existing licenses keep the settings granted to them, including their features and shared-seat timing.

Choose **New and existing licenses on this plan** to update changed settings across Live and Test. Review the number of affected licenses before saving. Each license’s individual overrides are preserved. Plan changes affect both environments because a plan itself is shared; individual license edits stay in the currently selected environment.

Lowering a device, activation or seat limit does not disconnect existing devices or reserved seats. It blocks additional activations or seat reservations until usage allows them. Revoking a device separately releases its access. Apps learn changed limits when they check online; already-issued offline signed results cannot be recalled before they expire or the app reconnects.

Changes to expiry, shared-seat mode or features require confirmation. Duration is measured from each license’s original start date, not the date of the edit. Shortening it may end access. Credit balances are never reset.

## Customize one license

Open **Licenses → Manage → Limits & overrides**. The same editor is available from a customer’s license count and from **Devices**. Next to each field, compare the plan’s current default, the license’s effective setting and any override.

Choose **Set for this license** to change devices, total activations, shared seats, expiry or extra features. **Reset to plan default** selects the plan’s current value; save to apply the reset. Expiry reset uses the original start date. Empty activation allowance means unlimited; empty shared seats means a standard license; empty expiry means no expiry.

Resetting extra features removes all individual feature values and restores current plan features. Extra feature values are merged with saved plan features; false disables a feature. A reason is optional. Plan edits and individual overrides record the actor, old settings, new settings and reason in audit history.

A renewal received later from the store can update expiry. Suspended, revoked and cancelled licenses remain in that state unless you explicitly restore them. An expired license can regain access when its new expiry permits it.

## Manage machines

**Deactivate** revokes the machine’s tokens and releases any reserved seat. **Remove** also hides it from current lists while keeping history. A customer with a valid key may reactivate later if limits permit; remove is not a permanent hardware ban. Use license suspension or revocation to stop all further access.

## Edit from WooCommerce

Update the connector to **0.7.0**. In the workspace’s **WooCommerce** connection settings, explicitly enable **Edit license settings from this store**. This permission lets WooCommerce managers edit mapped plans and licenses issued by that store. It does not grant access to other stores’ licenses or platform billing.

Open the plugin’s **Products → License settings** to choose a mapped plan. Open **Licenses → Limits & overrides** for one customer’s license and machines. Both editors use the same authoritative settings as the workspace. Editing a shared plan with existing-license scope can affect all licenses on that plan, including those issued elsewhere; the preview makes this clear.

Manually edited imported plans retain their licensing policy when the store refreshes; automatic import does not replace them with another generated plan. Store sales prices remain controlled in WooCommerce.

Open plugin pages refresh their catalog approximately every 15 seconds. Background runs catch up when WordPress scheduling or traffic allows. **Sync now** is available in the workspace and plugin. Failed refreshes retry; closed stores cannot be promised immediate delivery. If another administrator changes a setting before you save, reload the editor and review the newer version rather than overwriting it.

## Platform plan requirements

Standard device limits and individual license editing do not add a new platform tier. Shared seats and timing require Pro or Business; Pro allows up to 10 concurrent seats per license. Usage credits require Business. Tenant permissions, environment isolation and platform entitlements are enforced by the server for both editors.
